Pedro Deoliveira is one of the best dudes I know. He's from Lowell MA right near Whipple skatepark and is one of the founders of "Whipple Krew" a group of skaters from the area around Whipple Park. Pedro has natural smooth style and likes to float down gaps with ease. This montage has footage from NYC , Boston , Philly and Lowell MA.

Volcom Stone's WITP European Tour 2013 | SWITZERLAND | 24 August

Same spot, different year! After last year success we went back to the smooth "ice hockey ring skatepark" in Olten. This park is amazing, so much place, so many possibilities and so much fun...if you`re the next time in this region, you should definitely visit this genius playground.

The Saturday morning was a very busy morning at the registration tent...thanks to Miki and Jeff for the organization. We didn`t expected so many skateboarders...overall, around 100 skateboarders signed in and were ready to shred the park.
Due to this the contest started a bit later and everyone got their shred on at 1 pm after the classic BBQ with authentic grilled white swiss sausages.

The heats started wild while the DJ played some rock n`roll.
The contest in 3 words: So much ENERGY, a lot of POP and such a good Level!
You won`t read a "trick list" here because you better check the photos and videos to feel the energy of this was a blast. The judges had a tough job all afternoon long because of the many heats and the level of the young and the old skateboarders was really close together.

So check the video and photos of this great Wild in the Parks 2013 in Switzerland.
It was another great visit and tourstop at the Skatepark Olten and we`re looking forward to come back next year. Big thanks to the crew of the skaterhalle and all the great staff we had on place.
Further thanks to everybody who helped to make this event so epic and of course to Approvedline and Xsories for the great prizes and Red Bull for the beverage support!

Bob Burnquist's "Dreamland" - A Backyard Progression

Among the most influential skateboarders the industry has ever seen, Bob Burnquist is still innovating. In his new webisode series, Burnquist grants his fans exclusive access to the private domain in which so many of his contributions to skateboarding were born, his backyard in Southern California, better known as "Dreamland." Hence, "The Dreamland Series."

To lead off the series, we see something from Burnquist that hasn't been seen since 2010: a full-length video part filled with never-before-seen footage. And, the Hip. Yes, he added a Hip feature onto his personal MegaRamp. A Hip that starts up on a hill and sends him across a 15-foot gap into the 25-foot quarterpipe. You know, something mellow.

Volcom Stone's WITP European Tour 2013 | POLAND | 20 July

We were pleased to run for the first time a WITP stop in Poland on PTG Plaza Katowice! Initially we were planning to have our contest on the 13th of July but the weather forced us to postpone the competition to the next weekend -- and it was totally a good move -- a beautiful sunny weather, hot temperature and good attendance welcomed us!!!

WITP bombed out with three categories -- 14, 15 and over and the most crowded OPEN division! We gathered over 80 competitors and way more audience to make this event a party!

The first to compete were the young rookies, with plenty of big tricks on the double set and the walls. After that we had middle age division and it rock it out totally, there wasn't any obstacle that was safe from their flips, grinds, big transfers... Those guys displayed all they had to offer.
We ended the day with the Open category, with the best lineup of Polish skaters!! They rised up the bar very high, especially on the double set section -- landing tons of bangers and making the crowd go mad!!

The atmosphere was perfect, sunny day, tasty BBQ, rock and heavy music for a totally chillout vibe. Everybody was happy to be there and take opportunity to met with friends from the whole Poland!!

We want to thanks Heniek and Cebul for hosting our WITP jam, they put much efforts to make event full professional, big thanks to Red Bull for providing music and good energy!!

Also we want to thanks XSories for extra prizes!!

Now we will see how it gonna be on European finals in Copenhagen!!

Eric Koston Super Goofer

This is one of the best things you'll see all year. Not only are Koston's goofing abilities otherworldly, but they probably help him deal with the pressure of filming major video parts. Let's take a journey to the Menikmati days. We love you Eric!

Volcom Stone's Wild In The Parks Costa Mesa, CA 2013

We kicked off the Wild in the Parks tour in glorious form at Volcom's private skatepark on Saturday May 18, 2013.

Willy Wonka opened the candy factory doors to the Wild in the Parks. Never before has the general public had the opportunity to come skate the private skate facility. Competitors from all over California and as far as Oklahoma and Arizona came out to put their skills on display. Special bonus for the tour opener, Volcom Entertainment band Tweak Bird put on a free show for the WITP faithful. It was epic day of skateboarding and a great way to get the tour cracking.

The 14 & Under division got the party started. This group might be small in stature but their skills are top notch. It's amazing to see the level of talent this California crew possesses. Volcom's own Alex Midler was in attendance and putting on a demo. Even though we only take the single best score in each of the 3 zones, Alex was putting down piles of hammers showing his bag of tricks has some serious depth. His performance earned him the 1st place position but the victory wasn't easy with Oceanside's Cam Sedlick massacring the course. Cam took home the 2nd place title. A road trip from San Jose ended well for Connor Kepp as he took home 3rd place. Good showing to all the young guns that were in attendance.

The 15 & Over division was next to bat. They were swinging for the fences after witnessing what the 14- crew put down, they knew they needed to step it up. Not holding back Blake Sherwood went on a mission of destruction. Nailing down some serious moves he was awarded top honors for his stellar performance. Nipping at his heals was Oklahoma's Mason Coletti earning the 2nd place position. 3rd was awarded to WITP faithful Tanner Lawler. We are looking forward to seeing how this top 7 stacks up at the $15,000 championship on October 19, 2013.

The Open division had the distinction of putting the cap on the day. It was hard to imagine the flames could go any higher but if anyone could burn it down it's this group. Sure enough the finals progressed into a fury of action. Moves were laid down one after another causing pandemonium throughout all in attendance. Rising from the ashes in first place was Chris Gregson earning himself $250, a fat Volcom backpack full of gear, and additional prizes from our sponsors. It was not an easy victory with Dominick Walker not far behind in 2nd place. Christian Sereika held down 3rd place and took home $100 and a grip of gear. Keep on eye on this group come October.

It was a privilege to have a public event at the private park and we are grateful to have had the opportunity. Thanks to all the Volcom family that helped make this a reality and especially all in attendance lending a hand. The support is greatly appreciated. Special thanks to our judging panel: Brian Mack, Harris Hutchinson, and Tyler Mumma for sorting through the madness. Lastly, thank you to our tour sponsors for their contributions. Show these guys your love for supporting skateboarding:
